KTDA Wins Best Agro-Processing Stand at Nairobi International Trade Fair 2025

Kenya Tea Development Agency (KTDA) Holdings Limited has reaffirmed its leadership in the tea sector after clinching the Best Agro-Processing Stand award at the Nairobi International Trade Fair 2025.

The award was presented by President William Ruto during the official opening of the fair and received on behalf of the agency by KTDA Holdings Board Chairman Geoffrey Chege Kirundi.

The recognition underscores KTDA’s commitment to innovation, modernization, and value addition in tea processing. The agency showcased its state-of-the-art factories managed on behalf of more than 650,000 smallholder farmers, highlighting investment in advanced machinery for quality control, innovative processing techniques, and its leading role in driving value chain services.

Visitors to the KTDA stand also learned about the agency’s renewable energy investments, particularly small hydro-power projects that power factories sustainably. KTDA further emphasized its robust extension services, farmer training, and dedication to ensuring prompt payment and better returns for quality leaf production, in line with its #FarmerFirst mantra.

“This award reflects KTDA’s unwavering dedication to smallholder farmers and our continued pursuit of excellence in global tea markets,” said Mr. Kirundi.

With this achievement, KTDA continues to cement its position as a driver of sustainable agricultural growth, not just in Kenya but across the region, by combining efficiency in manufacturing with strategic global marketing.
