EldoHub CEO Magdaline Chepkemoi Calls for Greater Investment in Girls’ Digital Empowerment

The Chief Executive Officer and founder of EldoHub, Magdaline Chepkemoi, has urged greater investment in empowering girls through technology, leadership, and education, emphasizing that gender equity in digital spaces is key to Kenya’s socio-economic transformation.

Speaking during the International Day of the Girl Child 2025 celebrations in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County, Chepkemoi called on parents, teachers, and community leaders to encourage girls to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

“When we equip girls with digital skills and leadership opportunities, we strengthen communities and drive inclusive development,” said Chepkemoi.

A computer scientist and Head of State Commendation (HSC) awardee, Chepkemoi shared her personal journey of defying gender stereotypes to study computer science, inspiring girls to pursue their ambitions fearlessly.

Through EldoHub, she has provided digital training, mentorship, and entrepreneurship support to thousands of youth across the country. The EldoHub Tech Academy, one of her flagship initiatives, focuses on coding, communication, teamwork, and innovation, preparing young people for both employment and enterprise.

Chepkemoi also highlighted the importance of online safety, education for girls with disabilities, and compassionate support for teenage mothers, calling for community-driven interventions to ensure every girl remains in school.

“If we give girls the right tools and support, they can shape Kenya’s future,” she said.

Her remarks reaffirmed EldoHub’s commitment to building a generation of digitally empowered and socially conscious young women.
