Kenya’s Real Estate Industry Set for Revival as RESA Cracks Down on Genuine Land Sellers

The real estate sector in Kenya is set for a major transformation after the Association of Real Estate Stakeholders (RESA) commenced an ambitious exercise that will see them visit all genuine land selling companies in Kenya.

The exercise being spearheaded by chairman Kinyua Wairatu is part of lobby group to restore confidence in the real estate sector.

” We are not turning back at all. We will visit every genuine land selling company in Kenya. We want Kenyans to know that we have genuine companies that deal with clean work,” said Wairatu.

Wairatu urged Kenyans to only invest in companies registered under Resa saying that is only where they will get their concerns responded to Incase of any eventuality.

Further RESA made a notable visit to Mawega Company on its 20th anniversary, marking two decades of remarkable growth and contributions to the real estate sector. The event, held at the company’s headquarters, brought together industry leaders, government officials, and business partners to commemorate Mawega’s milestones and its influence on the real estate market.

The anniversary celebration was a moment of reflection on Mawega’s journey since its inception in 2005. From its humble beginnings, the company has grown to become a significant player in the development and management of residential, commercial, and mixed-use properties. Over the years, Mawega has delivered several key projects that have redefined urban landscapes and created thousands of job opportunities in the real estate and construction sectors.

During the ceremony, ARES expressed its admiration for Mawega’s leadership in promoting sustainable real estate practices. The association’s chairperson, Mr. Daniel Mwangi, highlighted Mawega’s commitment to innovation, quality construction, and its ongoing efforts to integrate green technologies into its developments.

“Mawega’s success story is a reflection of what can be achieved with dedication, resilience, and a focus on sustainability,” Mr. Mwangi remarked.

As Mawega Company marks 20 years of success, its partnership with ARES underscores the importance of collaboration in shaping a thriving, sustainable real estate sector.
