Innovation meets sustainability as ibis Styles Nairobi Westlands proudly partners with AfriLabs and other key stakeholders for the 10th edition of the AfriLabs Annual Gathering 2025, hosted by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) at the United Nations Complex, Nairobi, from 13th to 15th October 2025.

The AfriLabs Annual Gathering is Africa’s flagship innovation event, bringing together changemakers from across the continent to explore how technology can power inclusive growth and sustainable development.

Our Green Commitment
At ibis Styles Nairobi Westlands, sustainability is woven into every aspect of our operations.
We take pride in The Green Room — our 100% solar-powered conference facility designed to provide an inspiring meeting space while reducing our carbon footprint.
Our eco-conscious initiatives include:
- 1 Pencil, 1 Tree Campaign: Our pens and pencils are made from recycled newspapers, each embedded with a seed capsule. After use, guests are encouraged to plant them — turning ideas into trees.
- The Chinese Garden: Amid the vibrant Westlands skyline, this serene space grows fresh herbs such as rosemary, thyme, and dill, supporting our farm-to-fork philosophy and promoting a cleaner, greener environment.
- Electric TukTuk Mobility: We operate a fully electric TukTuk used for deliveries and guest transfers around Westlands — a small yet impactful step toward reducing carbon emissions and promoting sustainable urban mobility.
