StarTimes to Host ABS-CBN’s First-Ever African Fan Event in Nairobi, Featuring Coco Martin and Julia Montes

StarTimes, Africa’s leading digital television operator, is set to host “Kapamilya Live in Kenya,” marking ABS-CBN’s first major fan event on the African continent.

The much-anticipated event will take place on June 28 at Nairobi Cinema, headlined by Primetime King Coco Martin and Prime Actress Julia Montes two of the Philippines’ most iconic stars whose hit dramas have won hearts across Africa.

Filipino series such as (My Eternal), “Doble Kara,” and (Brothers) have gained a massive following across African audiences through ABS-CBN’s broadcast partnership with StarTimes.

Currently, Coco Martin’s latest action drama (Gangs of Manila) is airing on StarTimes. In July, viewers can look forward to a rerun of “Walang Hanggan,” followed by the premiere of Julia Montes’ emotional drama “Saving Grace” in September.

“Kapamilya Live in Kenya” will feature fan interactions, cultural performances, and celebrations of ABS-CBN’s deep-rooted connection with African audiences.

Coco and Julia expressed their gratitude to ABS-CBN’s loyal African viewers and they are likewise excited to take part in fun, cultural activities and performances during the event.

“We’re excited to finally thank them personally for their support. We can’t wait to meet the people who have been unexpectedly captivated by our characters and the Filipino stories showcased in ABS-CBN’s series,” said Coco in an interview with ABS-CBN News.

“It feels good because this is our chance to give back to them. It’s our turn to return the favor and we hope we can make them happy,” added Julia.
