The Singleton Unveils Rare 17-Year-Old ‘Into the Blue’ Special Release in Kenya

East African Breweries Plc (EABL) has announced the arrival of The Singleton of Glen Ord 17-Year-Old ‘Into the Blue’, a rare single malt selected as part of the Diageo Special Releases 2025. This exceptionally limited expression debuts the Horizons Unbound collection, a whisky series that celebrates bold innovation and masterful craftsmanship in single malt whisky making.

“We are proud to bring this unique expression to Kenya,” said Simon Lapyem, Brand Manager for The Singleton East Africa (EABL). “This release allows collectors to experience a rare highlight from The Singleton, curated by Master Blender Dr. Stuart Morrison. ‘Into the Blue’ is a testament to his creative mastery, blending innovation with tradition to create a truly exceptional whisky.”

Matured for 17 years, Into the Blue undergoes a distinctive finishing process in a combination of ex-mezcal casks and second-fill Spanish sherry casks. This technique yields a complex, layered spirit with rich fruit aromas. The whisky opens with a velvety palate of sweet fruits and concludes with a mineral finish—an intriguing evolution from The Singleton’s signature house style.

This exclusive release is crafted for discerning drinkers, serious collectors, and flavour adventurers who value artistry and exceptional gifting. As part of its global rollout, the special release will be available in the Kenyan market from 5th December 2025.

To mark its debut, The Singleton will host a series of exclusive, curated tasting experiences in Nairobi.
