Kajiado Grassroots Football Gets Equipment Boost in FKF Initiative Backed by State House Controller

Ninety-four football teams in Kajiado County received a significant boost today with the distribution of kits and footballs at Nakeel Grounds in Rongai. The initiative was spearheaded by the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) and saw the presence of State House Controller Katoo Ole Metito.

The distribution event underscored the commitment of the FKF to support football clubs at the grassroots level across the country. Speaking at the event, FKF representatives expressed their gratitude to Mr. Metito for his continued support in empowering local football clubs.

“We are deeply honoured to have joined State House Controller Katoo Ole Metito today in this important exercise,” stated an FKF official. “His unwavering support is invaluable to these clubs, and we at FKF remain steadfast in our mission to ensure that every club, no matter where they are in the country, receives the resources they need to thrive.”

The provision of kits and balls is expected to significantly aid the participating teams in their training and competitions, fostering the growth of football talent within Kajiado County.

Looking ahead, the FKF emphasized the critical role of government support in nurturing the nation’s football potential. “To truly unlock the vast potential of our football, we urge both the national and county governments to prioritize the development of sports infrastructure at the grassroots level,” the FKF representative added.

This initiative marks a positive step towards strengthening grassroots football in Kajiado County and highlights the collaborative efforts between football governing bodies and government officials in promoting sports development.
